Planning a Trip: NYC
I've just booked a trip to NYC for the beginning of March! I've been to the Big Apple before, but when I was traveling with family and technically under age in the United States. I'm currently researching a few places that I'd like to go and a few experiences I want to have while being down there.
Looking at the weather it looks like it's going to be quite chilly, but compared to -15 here, it will be more like +10 there. I'm not complaining, it's not as though I have to go somewhere warm when I travel, look how often I travel to the coast in the winter time where it is sometimes downright miserable. This means though that I'll be needing to pack warm sweaters and fuzzy socks for the trip and will need to work on my packing light for cold weather ability.
Where to go:
I've done a bit of research and from memory remember what was so much fun about my trip and what I'd like to go back and do. My friend that I am traveling with has not been there before, so I don't mind going and seeing some old places, but am excited for the new places too. Here are a few things I have on my must visit or do list in New York.
VISIT THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE:
I didn't get a chance to head this way last time I went traveling and I've seen it in so many movies, and pictures that I really want to add this to our trip.
FIND A BEAUTIFUL VIEWPOINT
I am a big fan of viewpoints and skyscraper views of the city. I'd like to find a spot that I can sit and take in the beauty around me and the breath and space that New York occupies.
GO TO TIME SQUARE
I've been to Times Square before, but to be completely honest, I really didn't give it the time or appreciation I should have. It's such a hub of activity and beauty, and I cannot wait to check it out again!
GRAND CENTRAL STATION
There is something beautiful about Grand Central Station and it's hub of activity. Not only is it beautifully built, but I'd really like to grab a cup of coffee and people watch the comings and goings.
CENTRAL PARK
If I could spend a whole week just walking Central Park and having picnics and reading books and sitting by the water and taking photos, I would. It's a beautiful oasis in a crammed to the brim city, and in the time I visited it, it was one of my favourite parts.
DISTRICTS TO VISIT
Broadway: Our chance to go see a few shows!

Chelsea: Home of the Chelsea Market and art galleries
Financial District: Architecture and Museums

I am quite looking forward to going to New York and I'll be making sure to check off these boxes on my list. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should be going and what I should see? Below is a checklist that you can save or pin to make sure you check them all out!
Love, E
