Born and raised in Canada, I first started blogging when I was 18 years old and entering into university trying to decorate and keep up with the current trends with limited budget I had. I started writing a blog all about my interesting fashion sense and daily thoughts and feelings. I ended up starting to write more about my love and passion for travel as well as lifestyle and home decorating. This time, when I picked up blogging again I wanted to share my travel plans, lifestyle tips and everything in between that inspired me.
I’ve spent most of my 20’s traveling the world in search of something.
Whether it be freedom, culture, adventure or connection, there is nothing more fulfilling that exploring the world. I encouraged everyone I knew to do the same, to get out and explore and find something else out there, outside of your comfort zone. When the 2020 pandemic hit, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I’d spent most of the past decade searching for ways to save money and get on a plane, and hours researching the best route through Europe and Asia. I realized sooner rather than later, that my time spent traveling had to be spent doing something else, and I turned to making and creating at home in my 715 sq. ft. apartment to fill my days and learn new things. I’m slowly transitioning everything over from Coco and Vanilla to Fourth and Ivy, so excuse the mess :)
This past summer, I was lucky enough to travel to Europe with my dad and brother. We managed to take two weeks off and explore Italy—more on that later—and visited all the must-see spots. Toward the end of our trip, my partner Alan flew out to meet us in Rome so that him and I could start a trip just the two of us. After a few hints had been dropped, little did I know that Alan had planned a surprise for us.
