Planning a Wedding: Temecula, CA
Temecula Valley is about an hour and a half from Palm Springs and offers a completely different but equally romantic setting. With rolling hills, vineyards, and warm golden light, it is a wonderful option for couples dreaming of an Italian countryside aesthetic closer to home. We loved the idea of an Italian vibe, but a little closer to home. It is 1.5 hours from LAX, and 1.5 hours from Palm Springs, so its a great option should you want to fly into either of those places, or want to spend time individually or with your wedding guests ahead of or after the wedding.
There is something about Temecula that feels instantly romantic. Maybe it is the rolling vineyards or the way the light turns golden right before sunset. Maybe it is the Mediterranean architecture tucked into the hills. Whatever it is, Temecula wine country has quietly become one of Southern California’s most sought after wedding destinations, and once you visit, you understand why.
If you are dreaming of vineyard views, warm evenings, and a celebration that feels both relaxed and elevated, these Temecula venues are some of the most beautiful places to say I do. I’ve made sure to highlight average budget and maximum guest count because I know that matters the most! Just to note, and as you may already know, most of the venue packages won’t include things like florals, photography, favours, hair and makeup etc. They can sometimes include bar packages, in-house or preferred catering and sometimes some included decor, but its important to confirm with the venue and check ahead of time.

What to Expect When Budgeting a Temecula Winery Wedding
Temecula weddings tend to be more approachable than coastal Southern California venues, but they are still an investment. For around one hundred guests, most couples find total budgets ranging from the high teens into the thirties depending on venue, catering level, design elements, and entertainment.
The beauty of wine country is that you are already surrounded by natural decor. Vineyards, sunsets, and architecture do much of the visual work for you. That means you can choose to layer in elevated florals and rentals, or keep things more minimal and let the setting shine.
Temecula feels like a hidden pocket of romance in Southern California. It is relaxed but refined. Scenic but accessible. Each of these venues offers something slightly different, whether that is European architecture, all inclusive ease, classic vineyard views, hilltop charm, or panoramic terraces.
If you are planning a destination style celebration without leaving the state, Temecula wine country deserves a spot at the top of your list.
