April Inspirations
Now that April is right around the corner, we've rounded up what we are loving right now, from new clothes to DIY's. I am in love with springtime as it means I can break out the flats and the boyfriend jeans and experience a bit of Vitamin D on the skin.
My spring go-to outfit with my new boyfriend jeans and floppy hat for farmers markets and spring time walks. I love how comfortable boyfriend jeans are, and having them be slightly de-stressed and worn makes them soft and ready for wear with anything. If I could wear these everyday on weekend and to work, I would!
I'd love to create a plant divider to give me some privacy from the outside world. This is ideally something I could create quite easily with pallets and some key plant choices. And I’m always looking for inspiration for small patios living in apartments for the past 5 years!
Another spring go-to is my long sleeved romper with wedges and a floppy hat. I found this piece at Charming Charlie's last year, and although I was skeptical at first (I have a long torso and rompers don't fit well 90% of the time), I've come to love this as my go to.This is actually the best type of romper to wear in the spring when you need a bit of coverage on your arms still, but want to let your legs out in the open. My brown cork wedges are both comfortable enough for walking around, but also dressy enough to wear with rompers and maxi dresses on an evening on the patio.
I'd like to pull the trigger on lilac hair. I previously tried Lilac with L'oreal's Lilac temporary hair spray and then tried Rose Gold with Kristin Ess' in-shower spray. I'd like to try something a little more permanent, but not so permanent that I end up having to pay tons of money to fix it a few months later. I'll continue to pin inspiration, and then continue to look for the best solution. Any recommendations are appreciated!
I already mentioned the plant divider above, but I also stock up plants in the spring. I try my best to keep my plants alive in the winter, but the cold window sill where they are kept often hinders their growth and worse case scenario kills them over the colder months. So in spring, I find a few plants to add to my collection and then try and plant a few seeds. I have an obsession with my local greenery store Plant. They give me major plant jealousy with their instagram feed, and when I'm in the store I just want to spend all my money. If you're completely new to plants, I would suggest starting with a succulent or having your local plant shop properly plant a terrarium for you in a nice glass bowl to start. I'll try and get my local plant expert to put together a post for you guys on purchasing a plant that's right for you.
What are you excited about this spring? The spring cleaning or finding the perfect spring outfit?
Let me know!
Love, E
