Planning a Bachelorette: As the Bride in Palm Springs
Palm Springs is the perfect spot for a bachelorette party with its mix of relaxation, adventure, and nightlife. My MOH planned out a weekend of fun for a few of my girlfriends and we had the best time. We ended up spending a few more days in Joshua Tree after the weekend and went on hikes, day-tripped into Palm Springs again, hung out by the pool and had such a good time relaxing. Let’s be honest, the trip was go go go, but we certainly built in a lot of time to connect with nature.
Keeping in mind my bach weekend trip was all planned out by my MOH, here are a few other things that you can do when you’re in PS for your bachelorette if you’re more inclined for outdoors, going for drinks or just relaxing.
Here are some fun things to do while you're there:
Poolside & Spa Relaxation
Rent a Cabana at a Luxury Hotel – Spend the day lounging at a stylish hotel pool like The Saguaro, Ace Hotel, or The Parker. My MOH got us a cabana at The Saguaro, and because it was a Saturday it was pool party day and we got music alongside a place to hang out!
Spa Day – Treat yourselves to massages, facials, or a group spa experience at Two Bunch Palms or The Well Spa at Miramonte Resort.
Outdoor Adventures
Hike in Indian Canyons – A scenic and relatively easy hike with palm trees, waterfalls, and beautiful desert views. Three of us managed to get out and do both hikes there one of the mornings. If you’re up for a few hours, you can manage to do a lot.
Take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway – Ride up to Mount San Jacinto for incredible views, a nature walk, and cooler temps.
ATV or Jeep Tour in the Desert – Explore the rugged landscapes of Joshua Tree or the San Andreas Fault.
Food & Drinks
Brunch at Wilma and Frieda’s Farm or Cheeky’s – All three are popular for their delicious food and Instagram-worthy vibes. We hit up W&F on the last day of the bachelorette portion of things and the line was a bit crazy, but we got lucky!
Dinner at Boozehounds - a favourite spot for brunch or dinner. We started here on our Saturday night and got dinner and a drink before heading to our next stop. The bathrooms and even tht outside provides a great backdrop for photos.
Tiki Drinks at Bootlegger Tiki – A fun and tropical spot for cocktails. This was our second stop!
Rooftop Drinks at Kimpton Rowan's High Bar – Great views and a chill yet stylish atmosphere.
Drag Brunch at Reforma or Chill Bar – A lively and fun way to kick off the day.
Nightlife & Entertainment
Bar Hopping on Arenas Road – A vibrant LGBTQ+ scene with lively bars and dance spots. We went to Hunters as our last and final stop and despite being a bit quiet given the time of year, we had a wonderful time.
Dance at Pretty Faces Nightclub – A fun, eclectic club with great music and energy.
Unique Experiences
DIY Photoshoot at Moorten Botanical Garden – A small but stunning garden with cactus backdrops for the perfect Insta shots.
Visit the Windmills for Sunset Pics – Iconic and perfect for a desert photoshoot.
Take a Private Sound Bath in Joshua Tree – A relaxing and unique experience with crystal bowl healing.
Go on a Retro Architecture Tour – Explore mid-century modern homes with a self-guided tour or a private guide. If you’re lucky and book a trip there during Modernism Week, you can book a home tour, visit the museum, go to a gala or see a 50’s and 60’s fashion show.
